    • Two-Step: A popular, fast-paced partner dance with a quick, quick, slow, slow step pattern.

    • One-Step: An easy-to-learn dance with a quick, walking step pattern, perfect for beginners and social dancing.

    • Country Swing: A versatile, energetic dance incorporating spins, dips, and lifts, often danced to upbeat country music.

    • Line Dancing: Choreographed sequences of steps performed by a group in lines, without partners.

    • Country Waltz: A flowing three-beat dance similar to the ballroom waltz but with a relaxed, country feel.

    • Cowboy Cha-Cha: A playful mix of cha-cha steps with country dance moves, often danced in a circular formation.

    • West Coast Swing: Known for its smooth, elastic movements and slotted style, often danced to a wide range of music from blues to contemporary.

    • Lindy Hop: Lindy Hop is a lively partner dance that originated in the 1920s in Harlem. It features energetic movements, intricate footwork, and improvisation, often danced to swing music. Key elements include swings, turns, and dynamic connections between partners, allowing for creative expression on the dance floor.

    • East Coast Swing: A simplified, six-count version of Lindy Hop, making it more accessible for beginners, with a fun and upbeat feel.

    • Charleston: A dance that pre-dates Lindy Hop, characterized by its high-energy kicks and flapper style, popular in the 1920s and often incorporated into Lindy Hop.

    • Social Swing (Single Time Swing): A dance style that evolved from Lindy Hop. It’s characterized by its lively, circular movements and adaptability to various music genres. It's a great partner dance for weddings and other social events.

    • Salsa: A lively and dynamic dance known for its energetic footwork, spins, and intricate partner work.

    • Bachata: A romantic dance characterized by its simple steps, smooth hip movements, and close partner connection.

    • Merengue: A fast-paced dance with easy-to-follow steps, emphasizing hip action and a fun, festive feel.

    • Cumbia: A dance with a distinct rhythm, featuring relaxed, circular movements and a playful vibe.

    • Kizomba: A slow, sensual dance with smooth, flowing movements and a close connection between partners.

    • Zouk: a smooth and rhythmic partner dance from the Caribbean, known for its flowing movements, body isolations and close connection between dancers.

Competitive Dancing

  • These styles are more formal, emphasizing precise technique, choreography, and performance, often seen in country-western dance competitions.

    • Two Step: A competitive version of the Two-Step with polished footwork, timing, and technique.

    • West Coast Swing: A smooth, slotted dance phrased for country music, emphasizing technical precision and improvisation.

    • Cha Cha: A sassy structured dance with syncopated rhythms and precise footwork, performed to country music.

    • East Coast Swing: A playful triple-time swing to country music with an emphasis on clean, energetic movements and timing.

    • Nightclub: A slow, romantic partner dance with smooth, gliding movements danced to country music.

    • Waltz: A 3/4 timed dance with a focus on big, graceful movements, rise and fall, lots of travel and partner synchronization.

    • Polka: A dance with a fast tempo, crisp, lively steps and tight synchronization between partners. It consists primarily of a triple- step pattern.

    • Triple Two: A dance with a traveling and circular movement. It consists of walks and triple-steps, emphasizing smooth, flowing movements and precise technique.

    • West Coast Swing: Known for its smooth, elastic movements and slotted style, often danced to a wide range of music from blues to contemporary.

    • Waltz: Known for its graceful, flowing, grand movements and rise and fall technique. Danced in 3/4 timing.

    • Tango: Characterized by sharp, staccato movements and dramatic flair.

    • Viennese Waltz: A faster-paced version of the Waltz, featuring continuous, rotational movements.

    • Foxtrot: Recognized for its smooth, gliding steps and easy-going rhythm.
